Bat's living under the roof ridge

Date of Observation
Roost Details
Give specific details on the location e.g. is it in the attic, under roof tiles, inside the building, in a tree hole, underneath bark of a tree:

So for several years I have had a colony of bats living under the ridge of my summer house roof. The ridge is high up since the house is on a rock face, so it is probably about 5 meters above ground. It is south facing and the roof is in black steel so I would assume they have it pretty hot in there.I know they have been there for at least 3 years.

In the early mornings I hear the bats chattering when I go out to prune flowers etc and at dusk I see them flying out and going hunting. They are more active in late spring/early summer than later in the season.

2 years ago, one bat had flown into the house during the day. I think it was a yearling and I helped it outside without hurting it.

My land is full och flowers and vegetables with plenty of insects. It is on a small island, close to the water.
