Thank you to everyone who has reported on BatMapper and especially to all of you that I had the privilege to visit this summer and those that have sent me bat droppings. Now I’m back to the office and analysing lots of data.
Firstly thank you to everyone who has submitted bat sightings and roost locations over the past couple of years. So far we have over 600 sightings and 200 roosts. This is an amazing result. Please keep new sightings coming. Now I'm planning my fieldwork for this summer and I will start to do surveys at a selection of the roosts across Sweden. So if you reported a roost you may hear from me soon. Also if you registered interest to monitor a roost I will be in touch. The plan is to monitor the number of bats living in the roosts and also to install bat detectors to monitor foraging.
